Ah, we have the famous armor passage today. As a child I imagined myself wearing all these items and tried to understand what they meant as Paul identifies them.
You know, I still don't think I understand very well these things: truth, righteousness, peace, faith, the word of God, and prayer. I can imagine wearing them, but can't seem to live up to even my own definition of them. What must it be like to have the real definition of them swirling about me at all times?
One thing I know, that is that I'd love to have you praying for me that I may speak boldly of these things I understand so little. So I join with Paul in his request for prayer, and I'll pray for you. |
