Wisdom calls out to humans. Apparently she's not that difficult to come across in human experience. But also apparently there are some who do not access her.
There are consequences for refusing her. And there are blessings for taking her in.
The bottom line? "They did not choose the fear of the Lord." (That old English word "fear" is not like scared, but instead, like respect.) |
