This is one of the most poignant passages in Job. In the midst of great physical agony, mental anguish, and emotional loss, Job refuses to blame God. Yet in this passage, he cries out for his day in court.

In the irony of this piece of literature, Job does not know who is judging him so poorly as to think he deserves the punishment he has received. He does believe that the highest judge of all is fair and would give him strength to plead his case -- if only he could find the courtroom!

In an unfair world, it seems natural to our beings to cry out for a fair judge of all. I believe there is such a Judge.
