Don’t Turn Back

Morning mists arise around me.
Grasses swish my ankles soundly.
Tree trunk pillars hold the sky up.
Slanting sunbeams draw my eye up.

 

Slanting sunbeams close the door on
What was worse for me than war and
Seal the tunnel’s entrance safely.
Slanting light, I now embrace it.
