We celebrate today rebirth. No, not that birth on Satan's turf, For that began a life of sin And had to die to enter in. We celebrate today rebirth, That birth from God and full of worth.
We celebrate today our baptism. The death (no breath); the grave (fall back Into the waters, womb of God); The pan (baptismal, birthing waters). We celebrate today our baptism, With birthing waters in the pan.
We celebrate today our Lord, Who, unlike us, was twice reborn. Who hurled the worlds now curled in womb,
Then healing feelings sealed in tomb. We celebrate today our Lord, Yes twice, from womb and tomb, reborn.
We celebrate today new life, That rush, that hush, that birthing smile. His blood was shed in birthing us, His life He gave in precious blood. We celebrate today new life, Compelling hope–a brand new life.
We celebrate today communion. The newborn reaching for the juice, The drink of life, the needed nurture, Straight from the breast in His own Word. We celebrate today communion, The next step, always, from the womb. |
